Pregnancy and MALINNA°

I waited 9 months to collect the material for this article. It includes my personal experiences that I gained during this period. However, every woman is individual and experiences pregnancy differently, so there is no need to follow the fixed procedure that I used to approach the entire course and use of MALINNA° products. Considering the safety of the products, it is important to know that none of them are risky during this period and have no restrictions on use, quite the opposite. Therefore, try to approach their application or use intuitively, based on the needs of your own body.

Pregnancy and Elixirs.

Starting a deep detox during pregnancy is not entirely appropriate. Your body now needs energy for other processes. If you have found out that you are pregnant and would like to support the whole process, from a physiological point of view it is important to have a sufficient supply of suitable nutrients. You do not need to worry about your baby. The fetus will take everything from our body that it needs for healthy development. So if we focus on the supply of suitable nutrients, we are helping not only the baby but also ourselves. The energy we receive from food should be nutritionally rich. It would be a big mistake to think that now you can finally afford to eat everything and unlimitedly. You could cause yourself a lot of unnecessary damage that would be difficult to repair after childbirth. The advantage of Elixirs is that their caloric value is minimal, but they are carriers of a rich source of nutrients and information for our body.

Elixir Vanilla is the nr.1 during pregnancy.

In the second and third months of pregnancy, I couldn't get any Elixir in my body except Mint. Every slightly more specific and pronounced scent made me tense. That's why I didn't even try to convince my body otherwise. Sometimes I only had Elixir Mint in the morning, sometimes I skipped it for a few days and only drank lemon water. Unfortunately, my "morning" sickness lasted the whole day. I consider this period to be one of the most challenging during the entire pregnancy. Not only in terms of nausea. Sudden fatigue sometimes came at 10:00 in the morning and I simply had to sleep for an hour (one of the advantages of being self-employed). After the third month, everything returned to normal and I started to feel like eating again and my physical energy also maintained a constant level. In the 4th-6th month, I noticed the biggest weight gain (2kg per month), although my belly only visibly popped out in the 6th month. From the beginning of the 4th month until the end of pregnancy, I continued to dose Elixir Vanilla as follows:

1 full pipette on an empty stomach every day

1 full pipette about an hour before bedtime

What Elixir Vanilla contributes positively to:

  • limiting taste fluctuations

  • sufficient nutrient intake (blood tests did not show any deficiency of any element)

  • stable blood pressure

  • a resistant immune system (which is normally weaker during this period)

  • flexible and resilient skin

  • healthy and strong teeth (sometimes I cleaned my teeth directly with it)

Elixir Bitter – an immunity booster during a sensitive period.

If you feel healthy, it is not necessary to use this product. However, I had it at hand whenever I felt tired and a slight decrease in immunity (mucus in the nasopharynx). At the time of weakness, I added a full pipette of Bitter to my morning dose of Elixir Vanilla. However, I usually used the product as follows:

Mix 1/3 pipette of Bitter into the morning dose of Elixir Vanilla (4th-9th month)

I was healthy throughout my pregnancy. My pregnancy took place during the Covid-19 pandemic. Given the positive experiences that long-term users of Bitter had even in highly infectious environments (other household members positive, laboratory workers, hospitals, or public relations workers), I decided to maintain at least this preventive low dose throughout my pregnancy.

Rosemary Elixir

In principle, it is similar to Elixir Vanilla, but it is based on the hemp plant. In addition to some of the oils contained in Vanilla, it contains hemp oil (i.e. cold-pressed seed oil) and a concentrated extract of hemp cones containing CBD. The effects of CBD are known and we will discuss the introduction of our new nutritional supplement later. I used it as follows:

Mix 1 full pipette of Elixir Rosemary with a full pipette of Elixir Vanilla (about 2-3 times a week throughout the pregnancy, the remaining days I drank only Vanilla).

Pregnancy and cosmetics MALINNA°

I considered the internal use of products to be key. There are a huge number of changes taking place in the body and it is a physically demanding period. When taking care of the body externally, I paid extra attention to the skin, teeth, skin on the abdomen and breasts (from the 6th month) and intimate areas.

Dental hygiene.

Since teeth can be weakened due to increased consumption of building minerals, in addition to taking Elixir Vanilla internally, I brushed my teeth several times a week alternately with Elixir Vanilla or Mint . Otherwise, oral hygiene was as usual. Rinsing the interdental spaces with a mouthwash and caring for the interdental spaces (floss plus an interdental brush).

Skin.

In the shower, I usually use Shampoo Clary Sage on my entire body and hair (I even wash my face with it, as well as my mascara and eyebrows – you need to be careful with your eyes, the shampoo can sting in the eye). However, during this period, I also took Face Wash in the shower. First, on my skin, but also on my breasts and stomach, where I massaged it in and left it on for a while (if you have sensitive, acne-prone or eczema-prone skin and the Face Wash stings your skin, just wash your face with it and rinse it off immediately). If I didn't take a shower before taking care of my skin, I usually start by cleansing my skin with Cleansing Foam . Then, I spray Skin Toner on my skin (I continue on my breasts, stomach and feet). Finally, I apply a small amount of Immortelle Anti-Aging Cream to my skin (any of our creams except Oregano is suitable).

Breast and abdominal skin.

Our skin will be most stressed in these places. On the belly during pregnancy, on the breasts during breastfeeding. Therefore, every evening before going to bed, I spray my breasts and belly with Skin Toner and then apply Immortelle Anti-Aging Cream (you can use any other MALINNA° cream). Not a single stretch mark appeared on my belly during the entire pregnancy, the skin was even velvety soft.

Tip: Mix a teaspoon of Immortelle or Lavender cream with 40ml of distilled water from a pharmacy or drugstore and fill an empty Skin Toner bottle with it. You can then use the liquid as a body spray, not just on your stomach.

Intimate hygiene.

Due to the increased secretion caused by the body's own protection against infections, intimate hygiene was especially important for me. MALINNA° does not have a single product in its line that is exclusively specialized for intimate hygiene. I used Face Wash for washing and after washing and drying, I sprayed Skin Toner on the affected areas. All swabs for pathogens were always negative (which, of course, is not only related to external protection). I did not suffer from inflammation or hemorrhoids (which can occur in advanced stages due to the pressure that arises in the area around the anus).

A final point.

Develop inner peace and trust in the process.

When my partner and I decided not to prevent a possible pregnancy, I was 35 years old. It was exactly 10 years older than my mother was as a first-time mother. I must say that I went through a lot psychologically in this regard. I even admitted after 6 years of single life that I might never be a mother. When I had more or less come to terms with this fact, everything changed. Later, I discovered that everything I had experienced up until then has meaning for my current life. An attitude of trust and faith is very important in pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. Trust yourself and your feelings. Don't force yourself into anything that doesn't come naturally to you just because it's supposed to. Listen to your body and heart.

A healthy body knows no age.

I made the decision to get pregnant with a big advantage: I was healthy. I hadn't taken antibiotics for years, last year I went without medication (even painkillers) for another year, we have no hereditary diseases in our family, I have no allergies, no previous surgeries, etc. The fact that this is an increasingly rare occurrence has been confirmed to me by several gynecologists and midwives. However, this does not mean that if you do not have such a history, there is reason to worry. The right time to change is exactly when you feel it. You can no longer influence the past, only that you will not worry too much about it and exhaust yourself. However, there are always factors that you can influence right now. We have not used anything else in our household for about 5 years, except for our organic cleaners, I use cosmetics exclusively from MALINNA°. I have been drinking MALINNA° elixirs since they were created. The largest part of your expenses, apart from housing costs, are investments in quality food, sports (which may not be a financial investment at all, but rather a time investment) and regeneration. Whatever your budget, it is mainly a matter of what percentage of it you dedicate to what. Changing your diet, conscious physical activity, changing your mindset: these can be started at any time, preferably with small and firm steps.

Cleanse your body, mind, and home.

I have already covered this topic in the article 'Preparing for pregnancy'. If you have already managed to get pregnant, try to avoid burdening your body with unnecessary toxins as much as possible. They are found in food and medications, we create psychotoxins ourselves through various situations we are exposed to and our reactions to them. Eliminate all toxic chemicals from your home (cosmetics and cleaning products, even clothing), there are many options to replace them. They may seem more expensive at first glance, but in the long run, not only your wallet and the environment will repay you, but especially your and your family's health. Replace quantity with quality. This applies to drugstores, cosmetics, food, clothing, practically any purchase, everything we do, even relationships... Cultivate a quality relationship with yourself, your partner, close family and friends. Free yourself from toxic relationships (if you have any, they are certainly easy to recognize), notice what activities throw you off balance and which ones ground you.
