Prague perfume house Pigmentarium recently introduced its seventh fragrance. The new product, named Oratorio, is the work of young French perfumer Théo Belmas and represents one of the distinctive trends in contemporary independent olfactory creation. The fragrance, built on the mutual contrast and harmony of mandarin and incense, depicts a moment of presence. One of the places that strongly influenced the inspiration for the creation was a quiet baroque church in the center of modern and vibrant Prague.
We are very pleased that the Pigmentaria team has chosen to collaborate with the MALINNA° brand as a specific form of presentation for the Slovak market. Our brick-and-mortar store in the center of Bratislava, MALINNA° store, has served from the beginning, in addition to selling our products and serving tap water, as a place to present Slovak and Czech art. Since our opening, you have been able to see a sales exhibition by ceramist Lucie Strassnerová, artist Aneta Kurtová, Czech glassmaker David Valner, creative duo Abandon Collective, or conceptual artist Lousa Auber.
For this fall, the new fragrance Oratorio was chosen as the central theme, in conjunction with the work of photographer Kuba Kríž . In September of this year, he became another artist who took the work of the Pigmentarium brand as his imaginary artistic canvas.
We present the exclusive Pigmentarium perfume series in conjunction with the work of photographer Kubo Krížo.
A limited edition of Oratorio perfume was created exclusively for the MALINNA° art exhibition, with a melancholic photograph by Kuba Kríž on the packaging. His work is now perceived by the company, in his own words, as "rap-commercial" thanks to his significant and acclaimed collaboration with the most famous rappers of our time. However, as Kubo himself states, the beginnings of his work were influenced by the classics of Czech photography Josef Koudelka and, above all, Josef Sudek and his nostalgic depictions of old Prague.
Thanks to his intention, under the extraordinary lighting conditions of an autumn morning, to photograph the Vltava statue, which stands at the foot of the lock at Janáček Embankment, a collection of photographs of the Vltava River's surroundings with a unique atmosphere was finally created. And it is just a coincidence that the Pigmentarium studio is located in the photographed location. For the packaging of the limited edition of the latest fragrance, the photograph with the Vltava statue was chosen from the entire series.
