What is the main philosophy of #NaŽivili?
We wanted to create a place where you wake up to a beautiful landscape with the sounds of nature and babbling brooks. A place where you will want to create, meditate or just be. #On Živili there are four objects that represent the four elements – Water, Fire, Earth and Air. Each of the cottages connects you with nature and touches all your senses.
What is unique about it?
Each cottage will bring you a different experience. The bedroom of the Air is completely glazed, including the ceiling, and is set in a field with Dybowski's sika deer. You wake up in the morning and next to your bed doe give you good morning, in the evening, on the other hand, you can watch the stars directly from your bed and if you're lucky, a big car will appear. Chatička Voda is anchored in the middle of the pond from March to November and you can only get to it by a small boat. From the cabin you can cast a rod or have breakfast on the roof terrace. The fire has maximum privacy, an indoor fireplace and an outdoor central fireplace. On the other hand, the Země cottage is the center of our Živili, it is the largest, glazed to a height of 9m with an outdoor jacuzzi. All cabins have their own sauna, their own mixed interior scents or even coffee mugs matched to the given element.
How did you find such a beautiful place?
Hardly We searched intensively for two years and we didn't like anything enough to go for it. Until we thought of searching servers with farms, old buildings and dilapidated farms. And that's how we came across our dilapidated mill! A lot of our closest people didn't see such beauty in that plot at first, but rather just a lot of hard work. Of course, they were right about that, but despite the two-meter nettles, fallen trees, broken mill and overgrown forests, we saw Živili! The first time we got out of the car, we just looked at each other and knew it just had to be ours! We felt that we belonged there!
Who invented the concepts of individual interiors?
We tried to do everything there more or less by ourselves, with the help of family and friends, and certainly also because it is such a matter of the heart for us. We ourselves say that Živili is not only about that place or that it is not just the two of us, but that it is made by all the great people around us. As for the interiors, we came up with them ourselves with the help of our closest friend, graphic artist Terezka Kramperová, who creates the entire visual identity for us from the very beginning and who, coincidentally, did the graphic design for your Malinna Kids. Yes, the world is small :)!
Why did you choose Malinna for #NaŽivili?
The main reason was that we are isolated, in the middle of pastures and forests. Where we have deer in the forest, several hundred fish in the pond, crayfish in the streams, beehives in the forest, pastures with cows around us, foxes, herds of roe deer and lots of birds visit us at night. We wanted not only to use natural detergents, but also to use non-toxic cleaning agents. At Malinna, we were particularly excited about the Cleaning Concentrate made from vegetable oils and salts, which is also a fertilizer for plants and a zero burden for animals. That was decisive for us. As a plus, there is a great smell and the design of the bottles, which matches our interior.
